The Great Wall was a highlight of our trip! It is colder in Beijing than in Shanghai, and the coldest day during our visit was the day we visited the Great Wall! Needless to say it was a great day nonetheless, it is impressive to see how they built it on the Mountains! It is very steep at some points and the steps are often really high! On our way we also visited the Ming Tombs, which hold thirteen Ming Emperors, their servants, officials, and even concubines! The Chinese like to point out how the Wall was made by the people, literally and figuratively as many died during its construction and were molded into the actual Wall!
So cool!
